I want to be a pediatric cancer advocate because people don’t realize that pediatric cancer receives very little funding compared to adult cancers. I want equal funding and equal access to treatments.

My own story is about light. Light represents faith to me. During my treatment, I never lost my faith. Keeping that faith was important because the cancer journey felt like a life-threatening experiment. It is important for me to share this because my faith is still important to me. My cancer journey took me through an antisocial phase.I used to never go outside, but now I’m going out a lot more. My faith opened me up again. Now, I always use light as an element when I take photos.
